1. Acceptance of Agreement By accessing, browsing, or using the services provided by General Metals (the “Company”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Company regarding your use of our website and services in the State of Florida.
2. Scope of Services & Material Inspection General Metals specializes in industrial and commercial metal recycling. All quotes or estimates provided through this website or via telephone are preliminary. Final valuation is strictly contingent upon:Physical inspection of the material by our staff.
Verification of weight on our Florida-certified scales.
Compliance with our prohibited materials policy (non-hazardous waste).
3. Pricing and Market Volatility The scrap metal market is subject to daily price fluctuations. Unless otherwise stated in a written contract, prices are not locked in until the material is received and processed at our facility. The Company reserves the right to adjust pricing based on market indices without prior notice.
4. Logistics and Equipment (Roll-Off Services) If the Company provides roll-off containers or transportation services:
The client is responsible for providing safe and clear access for our vehicles.
The client assumes liability for any damage to the equipment while on their premises, except for normal wear and tear.
The client must ensure that only authorized metals are placed in the bins, following EPA guidelines.
5. Compliance and Environmental Responsibility Clients represent and warrant that all materials provided for recycling are free from hazardous substances, including but not limited to: radioactive materials, PCBs, or sealed pressurized containers. Any violation of environmental regulations during the delivery of materials is the sole responsibility of the client.
6. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, General Metals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our website or services. Our maximum liability for any claim shall not exceed the value of the material delivered.
7. Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Miami-Dade County (or the applicable county of operation).
